Iran’s Deputy FM Calls For Halt In Support For Terrorists In Syria

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian called on the western and some regional countries to stop supporting the militants in Syria. “The success of the Geneva II talks depends on lack of support by some countries from dispatch of terrorists and weapons to Syria,” Amir Abdollahian said. He once again renewed Iran’s support for a Syrian-Syrian dialogue, and said, “We differentiate between the Syrian opposition forces who believe in a political solution and the terrorists.” Amir Abdollahian reiterated that certain foreign countries tried to get rid of Syrian from the axis of resistance or severely weaken it by sending weapons and terrorists to Syria in the past 30 years. The Iranian deputy foreign minister pointed to the visit of the Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al-Halqi to Tehran, and said, “Al-Halqi’s visit takes place in line with development of bilateral ties.”/end
