Iran’s Kidnapped Delegation In Libya, healthy : Libyan FM

Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA – Libyan Foreign Minister Ashour bin Khayal said on Wednesday evening that based on the latest information by the informed sources, the 7-member Iranian delegation kidnapped in Libya are in good health. Talking to reporters on the latest information on the Iranian abducted delegation in Libya, he said, “We should not say where these people are and when they will be released but the information available signify that they are in healthy conditions.” The problem is that it is not known which group has kidnapped them and to which party they belong, he said. Bin Khayal further stated that unfortunately, given the prevailing insecurity in the country, Libya does not have desirable conditions. Seven-member Iranian delegation comprising officials from the Iranian Red Crescent was kidnapped by the armed forces while visiting Benghazi to sign a cooperation agreement. The delegation arrived in Libya early August at the invitation of the Libyan Red Crescent./end
