Iran’s Kidnapped Diplomat In Good Condition: Deputy FM

Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs said that an Iranian diplomat who had been kidnapped in Yemen ˈis in good conditionˈ. He also told IRNA that an Iranian delegation has traveled to Yemen to follow up the issue. Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that negotiation with Yemen’s political and security officials is underway and that the diplomat is in good condition. The Iranian diplomat Nour Ahmad Nikbakht was kidnapped by Yemeni gunmen more that 5 months ago. Amir Abdollahian expressed hope that Nikbakht be released soon./end
