Iran’s N-deal, Major Step To World Peace: Analyst

Islamabad, Feb 17, IRNA -- A Pakistani analyst on Sunday said that Iran’s nuclear deal with western powers is a major step to bring peace in the region as well as the world. Talking to IRNA, Khalid Rahman, Director General of Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) said that Iran is major country of the world that has always pursued the path of peace. He viewed that US and foreign forces are leaving Afghanistan in 2014 so they want to have good relations with the Islamic Republic which is a major player of the region. He added that the Iran’s recent nuclear deal is a comprehensive development. “The deal is in fact a confidence building measure between both sides,” he viewed. The researcher said that Iran has a right to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes under Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT). The analyst expressing his views said that western policy of double standards is explicit and can be found all over the world. “The western powers have been pursuing the policy of double standards especially towards Muslims,” noted Khalid Rahman. Director General of IPS added that people who want to restore peace to the world must evolve a common strategy to change the discriminatory system of the world. The scholar was of the opinion that the whole case against Iran’s nuclear program is illegal. “So every action taken against Iran on the basis of that false case is unjustified and baseless,” he said. The analyst said that sanctions against Iran must be lifted. Khalid Rahman went on to say that Islamic Revolution of Iran has inspired Muslims in every corner of the world. He added that the Islamic Revolution has provided true guidance and right direction to the oppressed people of Iran. The intellectual said that the Islamic Revolution is progressing in Iran for past 35 years which is a great achievement./end
