Iran’s progress independent of any foreign power: Boroujerdi

TEHRAN, May 03 (MNA) –Iran’s senior MP interviewed with MNA commenting on nuclear talks. “To evaluate Lausanne statement we need to put the global realities into perspective” Chairman of Iran Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in an interview with Mehr News Agency (MNA) while commenting on regional issues, Iran nuke-talks and the US topsy turvy approach to Iranian wholly peaceful nuclear activities. “I think the world powers manipulate the UN and abuse it to reach their own goals, and the UNSC and the IAEA are serving West against Iran,” the MP noted when asked about the merits of a nuclear deal. “From very beginning, passing Iran’s file to the UN Security Council (UNSC) was an injustice committed against Iranian people but they managed to do it anyway,” he said touching upon the unjust resolutions issued against Iran and the unfair approach of the EU and the US to achieve in their sinister goal of breaking Iranian people’s will. “This is the present reality of the world we are living. It’s tyrannical and lawless,” he put it into perspective vis-à-vis the breakthroughs accomplished by willful Iranian nation in face of all harsh treatments and sanctions of the west and US imposed on Iran since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and concluded that the Iranians have succeeded in standing on their own feet. He reminded that Iran did not have any missile to protect itself against Saddam’s bombardment of cities and now it is a missile power in the world enjoying its local technology achieved by Iranian scientists. Further he reaffirmed, “It proves no foreign power will be able to instigate the progress in Iran or block the Iranians’ path toward a bright future.” He said that one of the reasons behind doing the nuclear talks is the responsibility of the current administration to relieve the pressure imposed on common people and defend the unalienable right of Iran to benefit from its peaceful nuclear technology developed by young Iranian scientists. Reviewing the past we find the west trying to construct nuclear plants in monarch-ruled Iran in a bid to gain profit without letting the technology be achieved by Iranians while we see the democratic Iran has managed to do the A to Z of producing nuclear energy itself and now the arrogant powers are claiming nonsense, he said. He evaluated on positive achievements of the Lausanne statement and added that, “Now the principal legal right of Iran to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes is recognized, though Iran did not need the US approval.”
