Iran’s Proposal Adopted At UN To Promote Sustainable Global Peace: Indian Politician

New Delhi, Dec 24, IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s proposal for eradication of extremism and violence, overwhelmingly adopted at UNGA, will promote sustainable global peace, said an Indian politician Tuesday in New Delhi. In an exclusive interview, Hasan Ahmed, MLA of Delhi Assembly said: “When we look around the society, whirling down a spiral of violence of which extremism is the manifestation, which has brought the world to a terrible disaster. Iran, striving hard to save humanity, has waged a spiritual Jihad against violence and extremism. The first success in this regard was achieved when Rouhani’s idea of WAVE was ratified with 190 positive votes and turned into a resolution at UNGA, he added. He noted that Iran on its part, following the basic tenets of Islam which is against all kind of extremism and violence, has played the role and has shown the world a path. Hasan Further noted it is upto the world countries to implement Iran’s proposal. “Otherwise, the world will be lead to a terrible disaster the effects of which will be seen for years to come,” he warned. Congratulating Iran, Indian politician said: “I am optimistic, that the Persian Gulf nation, where extremism has no place, with the collective support of the member countries, who have voted in favor of the proposal, will succeed in establishing peace, love and harmony in the society across the globe. Hasan Ahmed, who is the senior leader of Indian National Congress, urged the UN and member countries to denounce those countries, in the selfish pursuit of seeking the fulfillment of their vested interests, blaming Iran. Instead utilize it’s experiences in eradication of extremism and violence from the world./end
