Iran-5+1 Group Determine To Resolve N-issue Soon

Islamabad, Nov 12, IRNA - Former Pakistani senior diplomat on Tuesday said that talks between Iran and 5+1 group are moving in a right direction adding the two sides would reach an agreement in the next stages. Iran and G5+1 set November 20-21 as the date for the next round of talks which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, once again. Speaking to IRNA, former Secretary General of Foreign Affairs and former ambassador Muhammad Akram Zaki said that that hurdles would come in solving disputes with the Islamic Republic but this time west is far more serious in talks with Iran. “I think that west has realized that Iran is a strong country and cannot be isolated. He added that all efforts to destabilize Islamic Revolution in the form of imposed Iraq war, negative propaganda, allegations, threats and sanctions have been failed.” He added that western states have evolved a consensus that they have no other choice but to enter into an agreement with Iran. He added that US President Barack Obama had once stated that he prefers path of diplomacy over conflict. The analyst said that Iran has always pursued the policy of seriousness and patience towards western attitude. He was confident that soon Iran’s nuclear issue would be resolved. Expressing his views the former diplomat said that sanctions have proved to be useless against Iran rather they are counterproductive. He said that there is positive change in western attitude towards Iran. Akram Zaki was of the opinion that western states have realized that total support to Zionist Regime on all issues needs to be changed. Former diplomat added that western states have damaged their relationship with the Muslim world because of their support to Zionist Regime. “But the west is making efforts for finding more adjustment towards Muslim world,” said the analyst. He said that Zionist lobby would definitely pressurize the Congress in US and anti-Islam forces would continue to play their negative role but path of justice would ultimately win and peace will prevail. Akram Zaki has an outstanding record of distinguished public service as a career diplomat and as a Senator. During his diplomatic career he served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, USA, Nigeria, the Philippines and later became the Secretary General for Foreign Affairs./end
