Iran, 5+1 talks to be held in Vienna on Wed.

TEHRAN, Oct. 19 (MNA) – Iran’s deputy-FM Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said that none of the negotiating parties have any interest in extending the talks after the deadline. Iran’s deputy-FM Abbas Araghchi attended a press conference at the University of Tehran on Sunday and said, “Iran’s negotiations with the 5+1 in experts level will be held on Wednesday and Thursday in Vienna, and the time for the next round of talks will soon be set.” “It is likely that a trilateral meeting between Mohammad Javad Zarif, John Kerry and the EU's Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton be held within the next two weeks,” asserted Iran’s senior negotiator. In regard to the remarks of the Russian representative that there has been a 95% progress in the negotiations, he said, “I do not place too much faith into these figures. What is of importance here is that we have come a long way and covered a considerable path in the course of the negotiations. Whether we have reached an agreement or we can reach one still remains to be known.” On the probability of an extension to talks after November 24 he said, “none of the negotiating parties have any interest in extending the talks. They are all determined to reach an agreement before the deadline, and as such no one has put the possibility of an extension on their agenda.”
