Iran Advises Iraqis To Foil Plots By Shunning Differences

Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani recalled the enemiesˈ plots to create discord between the Iranian and Iraqi nations and said that the vigilant Iraqi nation will neutralize the conspiracies by avoiding differences. In a meeting with the head of Iraqi Supreme Islamic Council Seyyed Ammar al-Hakim,, he underlined the need to shun disputes by the Iraqi tribes and groups. Al-Hakim is in Tehran to attend Islamic Unity Conference. Describing the two countriesˈ ties as friendly and brotherly, Larijani said that Iran and Iraq have common civilization and culture. He pointed out that Iran always favors further development of bilateral ties in all fields. Al-Hakim, for his part, briefed Larijani on the latest developments in Iraq and said that the enemiesˈ plots will be thwarted through the officialsˈ prudence and nationˈs vigilance./end
