Iran-Algeria Joint Political Committee Convenes

Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA – The Joint Political Committee of Iran and Algeria convened in Tehran on Sunday to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues. Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Algerian delegate minister for Maghreb and African Affairs, Abdulmajid Abu Guerra co-chaired the meeting, which focused on latest developments and the bilateral, regional and international issues. The two sides exchanged views about cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres, and setting agenda for the upcoming meeting of the commission. Developments in the Middle East and the current situation in North Africa, nuclear dispute of Iran with the western governments, nuclear talks with representatives of Group 5+1 and international campaign against terrorism were the topics of the discussions./end
