Iran appoints new Consul General to Nakhchivan

Tehran, January 28, AzerTAc The new Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been appointed. New Consul General Mansur Ayrim said there were favourable conditions for boosting economic, trade, social and cultural relations with Nakhchivan. The Consul General said the meetings and reciprocal visits of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran made an important contribution to the development of the two neighbouring countries. “Improving the cooperation in various fields of economy was discussed at a meeting of the Iran-Azerbaijan joint intergovernmental economic commission in August 2014. This also paves the way for realizing joint economic projects in near future,” he added. Mr Ayrim will start his activity in March.
