Iran Appoints New Envoy To Belarus

Tehran, Dec 31, IRNA – Career diplomat, Mohammad Reza Sabouri, was appointed new Iranian extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Belarus. The appointment was made upon request made by Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and approval of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Sabouri served as Foreign Ministry director general for Department of Commonwealth of Independent States and the Caucasus, head of department for economic cooperation, and Iranian ambassador to Kyrgyzstan./end
