Iran Appoints Representative To World Road Association-PIARC

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA - Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi has appointed Head of the Roads Maintenance and Transportation Organization Davood Keshavarzian as Iran’s first representative to the World Road Association-PIARC. In his decree Akhoundi has called on Keshavarzian to take the required measures to activate the PIARC secretariat, to pay current annual membership fee as well as all the arrears, and to prepare the ground for growing cooperation with the association. The World Road Association-PIARC is a specialized formation for the development of technical and executive expertise and sharing policies and executive methods in roads transportation while concentrating on roads maintenance and security, transportation, management of bridges and tunnels.
