Iran Appreciates Algerian Pro-Iran Stance At International Scene

Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif on Sunday thanked Algeria for its principled stance in international forums to support the Iranian legitimate rights enshrined by Non-Proliferation Treaty. “For us, close ties with the Algerian brothers is of so much importance,” Zarif told Algerian delegate minister for Maghreb and African Affairs, Abdulmajid Abu Guerra. Zarif expressed greetings to his Algerian counterpart, and said that the Islamic Republic of Ian considers no ceiling or limit for cooperation with Algeria. He said that as the current leader of the NAM, Iran is fully ready for cooperation and share experience with Algeria on successful convening of upcoming NAM Summit. He referred to common stance and views of Iran and Algeria on key regional and international issues, calling for help end the current humanitarian crisis in Syria and campaign against the ominous phenomenon of terrorism. Meanwhile, Zarif referred to the latest round of talks with the G3+3 in Vienna, emphasizing Iran’s principles in defense of its legitimate rights and the common rights with other NPT signatories./end
