Iran, Argentina FMs Agreed To Continue Talks : Afkham

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said the foreign ministers of Iran and Argentina stressed continuation of talks between the two countries on Amia in October in Geneva. During her weekly press briefing on Tuesday, she made the remarks while asked about the upcoming meeting in Geneva between Iran and Argentina to execute an agreement signed to work out ways to resolve differences between the two on the Amia case. She expressed hope that the Argentinean officials cooperate with Iran in the best possible manner to tackle the problem. Commenting on the remarks of the US national security advisor Susan Rice who had claimed the phone conversation between the Iranian and US presidents took place upon the request of President Hassan Rohani, she hoped trivial issues would not affect the hard core of the conversation. She said the Iranian officials have already explained the nature of the phone talk and Tehran believes the issue is completely over now. Asked about the Zionist regime claims on arrest of an Iranian spy, Afkham said such scenarios by the Zionists are already worn out. She said the world press and commentators regarded the claims as Tel Aviv attempt to get out of global isolation./end
