Iran Armed Forces Guarantee Security In Country, Region – Official

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – Supreme Leader’s senior advisor Brigadier General Yahya Rahim Safavi said Iranian armed forces guarantee security and interests of the country as well as regional peace. Making the remarks while talking to reporters here Sunday at the end of the parade to mark the beginning of the Sacred Defense Week celebrations, he said the whole world can witness the might and grandeur of the Iranian army today. Stressing that the Iranian army uses all its power to make progress in the country and foil economic sanctions imposed on the nation, he said Iran is recognized as an independent, powerful and influential country at regional and international levels. He said Iran’s security doctrine in the sensitive region of West Asia is based on justice-centered peace. He stressed that any program for sustainable peace and security is available only in the presence of Iran. Noting that West Asia has been a victim of US military invasion in the past 12 years with the latest of them still going on in Syria, the brigadier general stressed that this is while Iran has always been the standard-bearer of peace in the region and has respected all regional countries and nations. He further advised enemies of Iran to stop imposing sanctions and try to use rationality in coping with Iran./end
