Iran-Azerbaijan Republic Officials Discuss Issues Of Interest

Baku, June 21, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mojtaba Khosrow-Taj, heading an economic delegation, discussed issues of mutual interest with Azerbaijan Republic senior officials here on Thursday. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Azerbaijan Republic Niyazi Safarov, in the meeting with Iranian delegation, underlined intention of senior officials of both countries to promote trade exchanges between the two states. The two sides also discussed cooperation on customs, tax, registration of companies, presence in exhibitions, exchanging commercial delegations and establishing connections between chambers of commerce as well as strengthening interactions between private sectors and efforts to remove obstacles on the way of companies. The Iranian delegation also met with Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov on Thursday, too. In the meeting, Heydarov, by referring to interest and intention of the presidents of both countries for expansion of mutual ties, said that we should try to prepare ground to increase ties by implementing mutual agreements in different fields. The Iranian economic delegation also met with President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic ( SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev and discussed ways to cooperate between the two countries in the field of oil and gas and energy plan in the Caspian field./end
