Iran-Azerbaijan Share Stand On Syria: Envoy

Baku, April 27, IRNA -- Iranˈs Ambassador to Azerbaijan Republic Mohsen Pakayeen said that Tehran and Baku have common stance on Syrian crisis. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony marking the 90th birth anniversary of the late President Heydar Aliyev, he added that both countries have undertaken joint activities in Syria to establish peace and security in the country and they both prefer peaceful ways and dialogue to military option. Tehran-Baku ties always had an increasing trend in the course of history, he said, noting that Tehran is alongside Baku in regional issues. Referring to boosting cooperation between the two states in the field of tourism, Pakayeen hoped that mutual collaboration will increase in other fields as well./end
