Iran, Belarus ink 3-year MoU for collaboration

TEHRAN, Feb. 02 (MNA) – Deputy FMs of Iran and Belarus on Mon. signed a three-year memorandum between the two countries’ foreign ministries for further cooperation. Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov who has traveled to Iran on 31 January for a two-day visit, held talks with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour on Monday. During the meeting, the two sides evaluated political and economic relations and conferred on ways to develop cooperation in various aspects particularly in the post-sanction era. Iran and Belarus foreign ministries also signed a program of cooperation for 2016-2019 in the meeting. Rahimpour discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in politics, trade, economy, and investments. The parties talked over matters on the international agenda, regional security and the Belarusian-Iranian cooperation in the international arena. Rybakov is scheduled to meet with Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif and Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mehdi Karbasian later today. He will also attend meetings at the Iranian Agriculture Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
