Iran-Belarus Keen To Promote Ties

Tehran, Oct 23, IRNA – Deputy foreign minister for Asia- Pacific and Commonwealth Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour said on Tuesday that Iran and Belarus enjoy ancient ties, stressing the need to further enhance bilateral ties in all fields. In a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Valentine Ryabkov, Ebrahim Rahimpour said that developing bilateral relations will benefit the two nations. He underlined the need to make efforts by the officials to upgrade political, economic and parliamentary cooperation. In the meantime, Belarus deputy foreign minister, Valentine Ryabkov underscored Iran’s status in the region and the world and voiced his country’s readiness for further deepening ties in all the spheres. Describing Iran as Belarus’ key partner, he said that Belorussian officials attach great importance to bilateral ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ryabkov is currently in Iran for consultations with Iranian officials./end
