Iran, Benin To Boost Ties In All fields - Salehi

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said Iran will deepen friendly and brotherly ties with Benin in all fields during the tenure of the new Iranian President Hassan Rohani inaugurated on August 3. Salehi made the remark in a meeting with visiting Beninese counterpart Nassirou Arifari Bako. Salehi expressed satisfaction over the implementation process of joint projects and mutual agreements as well as the level of bilateral cooperation. The Benin foreign minister, too, said Tehran and Porto-Novo enjoy good relations based on strong foundation. He then appreciated Iran's independent policies regarding global developments. The two further held talks on the international and regional issues as well as opening of Benin embassy in Tehran in near future. Bako was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Rohani on August 4.
