Iran Best Route For Transit Of Central Asian Grains To Africa

Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan Prov, Sept 25, IRNA – An African delegation comprising diplomats of 10 African countries in the course of their visit to this southern province termed Iran as the best and the most reliable route for transit of grains from Central Asia to East Africa. In this visit, the Ugandan ambassador in Tehran referred to consolidation of economic relations and enhancement of cooperation with Iran as the most important preferences of countries in East Africa. “All these countries are after more expanded and sustainable economic ties with Iran,” he said. Mohammad Ahmad Kissule said despite Iran’s longstanding record in shipping activities and international trade still many of its economic capacities have remained unknown for African countries. Meanwhile, Hormuzgan Ports and Shipping Director General Ibrahim Idani said different investment capacities exist in Iran’s economic golden gate, Shahid Rajaei Port, and a $1 billion investment has been made in this special economic zone by the private sector. He said Shahid Rajaei Port due to enjoying specifications of special economic zone, is ready to attract investments of foreign private sectors./end
