Iran: Blasts in Beirut, Paris ‘tolling the bells for us’

TEHRAN, Nov. 16 (MNA) – Minister of Intelligence has said explosions in Beirut and Paris communicate caveats for Iran and should be strictly addressed. Mahmoud Alavi who was speaking in 59th National Intelligence Festival on Sunday morning, emphasized that the enemies had been seeking sabotage in the country and infiltration to ranks and files of the state, which was exacerbated by the current development and new conditions; “infiltration is currently the most important threat in the field; the Intelligence Ministry, relying upon its surveillance capacities and control over the enemies’ sensitive spots and their priorities in inflicting damage to the Islamic Republic of Iran, has addressed and tackled the issue of infiltration; Takfirist terrorists are now the most dominant threat against Iran in terms of hard battle; blasts in Beirut and Paris issued caveats about the security of the borders,” he told the meeting. On the future Parliament and Assembly of Expert elections, Alavi believed that a high turnout of voters would clearly show the world that the system was legitimate; he recommended all intelligence authorities to eschew expressing positions for or against any candidate. “A peaceful and secure environment should be worked out where to hold the elections; the enemies as well will wage efforts to exploit the highly tense situations of the country in election day, to which we should react with accurate evaluation of the their means and depriving them of their effective devices,” he emphasized. http://en.mehrnews.com/news/111983/Blasts-in-Beirut-Paris-tolling-the-bells-for-us
