Iran To Build Biggest TV Township In Mideast : Official

Tehran, Nov 7, IRNA – Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) plans to set up the biggest television township in the Middle East, which will turn into a pole of film and series production in the region. Deputy head of IRIB, Ali Darabi said that the location of the venture has yet to be confirmed by the organization. Commenting on the need for such a township, he added that Ghazzali Cinematic Township's capacity does not meet the needs of IRIB, given the large number of TV products. Therefore, a project to build TV township has earlier been devised. Darabi also hoped that Iran will establish its status among the regional and Islamic world states in terms of producing TV programs./end
