Iran Calls For Paying Attention To Trend Of Establishing Democracy In Egypt

Tehran, June 6, IRNA - Senior official at the Foreign Ministry here on late Thursday emphasized on paying due attention to the trend of establishing democracy, safeguarding the Egyptian revolution and avoiding militarism in this country. Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, supported the legal demands of Egyptian nation for safeguarding the revolutionary goals of addressing independence, freedom and democracy. Speaking to IRNA exclusively, the diplomat said any escalation of tension in Egypt would please enemies. Egyptˈs army chief has ousted President Mohamed Morsi and dissolved the countryˈs constitution in a move aimed at resolving the country’s debilitating political crisis. General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi made the announcement on state television on Wednesday. The army announced the road-map hours after its two-day ultimatum to Morsi came to an end.
