Iran, center of diplomatic delegates, consultations

Tehran, Nov 17, IRNA – Iran has already become a center of diplomatic meetings and various delegations from Russia, China and Oman have visited the country during the weekend. A Russian delegation led by Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin visited Iran on Sunday to negotiate parliamentary ties as well as the oil price with Tehran. In the meantime, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Meng Jianzhu paid a visit to Tehran and met with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani on Sunday. Omani Foreign Minister Youssef Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah was another foreign diplomat who arrived in Iran on an unofficial visit last night and left the country for Muscat after separate meetings with President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Iran's foreign policy has taken new directions since Rouhani was elected as President in 2013. Nuclear talks between Iran and the G5+1 member states have gained momentum and Tehran's political and economic ties have been enhanced. /end
