Iran, China Call For Countering Cyber Crimes

Beijing, July 7, IRNA – Visiting Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar and Bai Shaokang, head of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau on Saturday called for countering Cyber crimes. Najjar referred to the recent signing of a security cooperation deal between both countries, saying that the deal urges both countriesˈ police to share information and experience and cooperate on countering cyber crimes, particularly in the area of trade. Shaokang, for his part said that Shanghai local government will make every effort to expand cooperation with Tehran. Underlining the importance of campaign against organized and extraterritorial crimes, Najjar said given the enhanced economic ties between Iran and China, on the one hand, and the growth of cyber crimes in trade sector, on the other, the security bodies of the two countries should closely cooperate with each other. Mohammad-Najjar, heading a delegation, arrived in China on Thursday on a four-day visit./end
