Iran Committed To Build Strong Relations With Int’l Community: Editor

Islamabad, Jan 25, IRNA – Editor of a Pakistani newspaper on Saturday said that President Hassan Rouhani in his speech at World Economic Forum has reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to building strong relationship with international community. Talking to IRNA, Zahid Malik, chief editor of daily ‘Pakistan Observer’ said that President Rouhani is a visionary leader and is taking steps which are in the interest of his country. President Rohani in a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, said he would push for greater engagement with the world as part of his drive to make the Iranian economy one of the top 10 within the next three decades. Malik said the speech of Iranian President has inspired the western investors, adding that President Rohani’s invitation to European companies, especially major energy groups is a positive development that would further strengthen the Iranian economy. He added that Iranian leadership is determined to develop good relations with all countries of the world with dignity. The analyst said that Iran enjoys energy surplus and could provide an excellent opportunity of business to foreign investors. He said that Iran President has used the international forum to tell the world that Iran is a peaceful country and want to work closely with international community. Giving his views on the statement of President Rohani that the Islamic republic of Iran would continue with its nuclear program for civilian purposes, the editor said that acquiring peaceful nuclear technology is the inalienable right of Iran and no country can deny it. Malik said that Iran has been repeatedly assuring the world that it has no ambition of developing nuclear weapons. He asked western states to respect Iran’s peaceful nuclear right as par the agreement between the Islamic Republic and 5+1./end
