Iran Condemns Latest Terrorist Acts In Iraq

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast Monday condemned Saturday terrorist operations in Iraq, stressing that such moves were parts of a series of attacks targeting the country’s independence, unity, peace and stability. Sympathizing with the families of the victims of Iraq’s bombings, Mehmanparast said Tehran believed various Iraqi political groups could successfully overcome the existing security crisis through negotiations and preventing foreign interference. He voiced Tehran’s all-out support for the people and government of Iraq in their efforts to fight terrorism and provide security. Mehmanparast further stressed that Iran believes that the Iraqi people and officials are capable of eradicating violence and restoring peace and stability to their country.
