Iran condemns Samara terrorist explosion

Tehran, Nov 6, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi strongly condemned Sunday morning's terrorist blasts in the Iraqi cities of Samara and Tikrit which claimed scores of innocent lives including seven Iranian pilgrims and wounded tens of other people. According to the Foreign Ministry Media Department, Qasemi offered condolences to the Iranian nation and government for the sad and bloody incident and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims. He stressed again that it is the responsibility of the world community to help stop the spread of terrorism and barbaric acts of Takfiri groups. Two Iranian women and five men were killed when two suicide bombers have been blown up themselves in a parking lot in Samara, north of the Iraqi capital, near buses of the Iranian pilgrims. Some 61 other Iranian pilgrims were injured in the deadly incident a number of them are in critical health conditions. Such barbaric acts are resulted from repeated defeats of terrorists in achieving their ominous goals in Iraq, said the spokesman adding, Iran would stand by the Iraqi government and nation until the day they are complete defeated and removed from the country. 1378/IRNA/
