Iran Congratulates British Queen, Prince On Royal Baby Birth

Tehran, July 23, IRNA – Iran congratulated British Queen Elizabeth II and Prince William on the birth of the royal baby born Monday, spokesman of Foreign Ministry Abbas Araqchi said Tuesday. He made the remarks while addressing foreign and domestic reporters at his weekly press conference. Asked if the royal baby's birth could help improve Tehran-London relations, Araqchi said the son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is the third in line to the throne. The scale of the two countries relations is more broader than to be influenced by the royal baby. Asked if Britain was among those countries invited to the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Hassan Rohani, he said Iran has invited all European nations with no exception to the ceremony which is to be held on August 4. Earlier in the press conference, Araqchi announced that Tehran has invited representatives of all world countries, except US and the Zionist regime, to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Rohani./end
