Iran congratulates Uzbekistan on 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties

TEHRAN,April 24(MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent a message to his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov on Monday congratulating him on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Tashkent. In his message, Ahmadinejad emphasized the importance of the two countries’ role in the Middle East and Central Asia and expressed hope that ties between the two countries would increase.
