Iran Delegation Due In Pakistan To Pursue Freedom Of Kidnapped Borderguards

Tehran, March 3, IRNA – Iran is to dispatch a delegation to Pakistan in order to pursue the case of five Iranian borderguards which were kidnapped along Pakistani border on February 6, said lawmaker Yaqoub Jadgal on Sunday. Speaking to IRNA, Jadgal said that first of all a delegation from Islamabad is to visit Tehran to discuss border security and the fate of kidnapped borderguards and then the Iranian delegation will visit Pakistan. The exact time of the visit and the composition of the delegation have not been decided yet, Jadgal said, adding, itˈs not clear whether a number of MPs will be included in the delegation to Pakistan. He noted that the kidnapped Iranian borderguards are in good health. Jeish al-Adl terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the incident, releasing video tape in this regard. Yesterday, there were news on freedom of the borderguards which were dismissed a few hours later./end
