Iran delegation participating in Pakistan’s int'l defense exhibition

Islamabad, Nov 22, IRNA – A six-member Iranian delegation headed by Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces is participating in Pakistan’s international defense exhibition. Besides participating in the 9th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2016), the delegation will have a chance to get familiar with the latest defense achievements of the participating countries, including Pakistan. The Iranian delegation would also hold meetings on the sidelines of the international defense event with the Pakistani officials and delegations from other participating countries regarding cooperation in defense sector. Earlier the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the four-day International Defense Exhibition IDEAS 2016 in Karachi. The defense industries of some countries including Pakistan, Turkey, China, Russia, North America, South America and some other European and Asian countries are present at the exhibition. There are 418 firms from 34 countries participating in the event, out of which 157 are Pakistani firms. 1378/IRNA
