Iran detects cyber attack on nuclear sites after Moscow talks

TEHRAN,June 23(MNA) – Iran has detected a massive cyber attack planned to be carried out against the country’s nuclear facilities after the talks between Iran and the six major powers in Moscow, Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi announced on Thursday. Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) held a new round of talks in the Russian capital Moscow on June 18 and 19. Moslehi stated, “We were informed that a massive cyber attack would be carried out on Iran’s nuclear facilities, and therefore, we made every effort to detect it.” He added, “According to the information received, the United States and the Zionist regime, in cooperation with MI6, had plotted to launch a massive cyber attack against Iran’s cyber infrastructure after the meetings between Iran and the 5+1 in Moscow. “They are still seeking to carry out (the attack), but we have taken the necessary measures.”
