Iran Dismisses US Offer To Establish Emergency Contact Line

Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA -- Iran said on Sunday that Iranian government has dismissed US offer to set up emergency contact line with Washington. Military Advisor of Supreme Leader and former commander in chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Yahya Rahim-Safavi said that Iran has rejected US proposal to establish an emergency telephone line with Washington. He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Iranian missile expert Brigadier Tehrani Moqaddam. Pointing to some reports on the martyrdom of Tehrani Moqaddam in an explosion of a Shahab-3 missile, Rahim-Safavi said Tehrani Moqaddam was in fact the father of Iranian missile technology and his martyrdom was an accident./end
