Iran Doesn’t Compromise On Principles: Pakistani Analyst

Islamabad, April 22, IRNA - Former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and defence analyst has said that West is against Iran because the Islamic Republic is not bowing to any external pressure. Speaking to IRNA, Lt General (Retd) Hamid Gul praised the progress of Iran adding that Iran is a strong country and does not compromise on principles. To a question he said that Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) permits Iran to enrich uranium up to 20 percent. “The West has been doing negative propaganda against Iran”, he viewed. The analyst said that the Supreme Leader Seyed Ali Khamenei has repeatedly said that ‘we do not want to pursue nuclear weapons because they are destructive and against our principles.’ “So I don’t think there is any problem regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program,” Hamid Gul said. He was of the opinion that any body that is against Israel is automatically supposed to be against America. “They want to dominate this region completely, Israel is a proxy power for US in the Middle East”, noted the analyst. Former ISI official said that US-Israel nexus is very dangerous for the whole world. “They are not left with any apatite for another war,” he said.
