Iran Embassy Does Not Confirm Alleged Confiscation Of Iranian Oil Tanker By China

Beijing, Oct 21, IRNA – A spokesperson for Iranian Embassy in Beijing did not confirm alleged confiscation of an Iranian oil tanker by China. Speaking to IRNA, the spokesperson said the Iranian Embassy had received no information from Iranian or Chinese officials about the case. Japanese Asahi Shimbun newspaper said that China has confiscated an Iranian oil tanker on its way to North Korea. An official with National Iranian Tanker Company dismissed the report in this regard on Sunday. The official told domestic media that no Iranian oil tanker has been seized by China or any other country./end
