Iran Embassy In Turkey Objects To Publication Of Article In Milliyet Daily

Ankara, April 30, IRNA – Iran's Embassy in Turkey here Monday objected to the publication of a baseless article against an Iranian official in Turkeyˈs widely circulated Milliyet daily. According to IRNA, in objection letter of the Iranian Embassy which is addressed to the managing Director of Milliyet, titled ˈUnethical Proposalˈ the unfounded claims against Iran are strongly denied and rejected. The letter continues, ˈThe baloney and unfounded claims which are merely made aimed at attracting attention and damaging the Tehran-Istanbul relations have never been proved and focusing on such cheap issues and publishing them was far from imagination. Observation of the rules of ethics and refraining from making hue and cry is of great importance in every trade, and particularly in media field, is of great importance and sticking to it is the pride of every popular media. ˈIran and Turkey have defined mechanisms in campaign against terrorism in different information and media levels and Iran has always been, and will always remain by the side of Turkey. ˈThe Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported establishment of ever stronger foundations of peace and security in Turkey, which would lead to a greater level of well-being and advancement for the Turkish nation, boosting of economic cooperation, and decreasing the occurrence of organized crimes.ˈ The letter adds, ˈThe Supreme Leaderˈs Advisor in International Affairs Ali-Akbar Velayati reacting to the publication of the baseless article voiced here Monday Iranˈs full support for the Turkish Governmentˈs policies in paying greater care in observation of the Kurdsˈ rights, announcing Iran's readiness and will for assisting Turkey in efforts aimed at uprooting terrorism. That respected daily is expected to pay closer attention to the publication of articles, and to refrain from further publication of such baseless articles, which have no usage save for creating pessimism and decreasing the credibility level of that daily./end
