Iran Emerged Victorious From All Crises Over Past 33 years

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – Interim Friday Prayer Leader of Tehran said here Friday pious believers are not left alone in hardships, as their piety is a strong castle, adding, “Iranian nation has emerged from entire crises victoriously during the past 33 years. Hojjatoleslam Kazem Sediqi also referred to the reason why the Muslims’ ‘Qibla’ (direction towards which the Muslims perform their daily prayers) was changed from Beit ul-Muqaddas (the Holy Qods in occupied Palestine) to Ka’ba in Holy Mecca, attributing the cause to being constructed of Ka’ba by Prophet Abraham (P) who had emerged victorious from very tough divine tests, till he became fit for the title “God’s Friend”. Addressing hundreds of worshippers at the football field of the central campus of University of Tehran, Hojjatoleslam Sediqi said, “Resistance is the secret of victory and the Iranians have tested it, as Prophet Abraham (P) was many times commissioned by Almighty Allah to do so.” In the second sermon of this week’s Friday Prayers, Sediqi considered the imposed sanctions against Iran as an opportunity, arguing, “The Iranian nation does not get scared of any typhoon.” The interim Friday prayers leader of the capital city added, “Imposing sanctions against Iran is nothing new, as they have been in effect ever since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.” He further emphasized, “The sanctions have turned the Iranian nation stauncher, more resolute and more invulnerable with the passage of each new day.” This week’s Tehran Friday preacher reiterated, “During the course of the (Iraqi) Imposed War Iran was under military attack of 18 countries, and we had no one on our side, save for Almighty Allah.” He added, “The people, led by the late Imam Khomeini (P) and relying on their trust in God, and heartfelt belief that their leader was the vicegerent of the 12th Imam (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance) they created such marvelous epics, that both the west and the east were humiliated and the war ended with the Iranian nation’s victory and pride.” The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran advised the people to beware of the psychological war of the enemy. Referring to the Women and Islamic Awakening Conference held in Tehran last week, he said that that was a turning point as over 1,000 elite women from around the globe gathered at the “mother city of entire Islamic revolutions”. He referred to the meeting between the participants in that conference and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in which his eminence advised women to return to their Islamic identities, arguing, “It has been over 100 years that the enemies of entire religions resorting to their entire capabilities have been tying to alienate women from their own identities, this inflicting countless harms against the mankind.” Hojjatoleslam Sediqi noted that in the western mentality neither the women, nor the humans have any real value, adding, “In order to achieve their objectives the westerners resort to criminal acts, including supporting the criminals and the issue of human rights and international organizations have become tools at the service of their deception policies.” Pointing out that the nobility of women is damaged more than that of the men in the west, the cleric reiterated, “In the west the women are presented to the society as goods, and they are subjected to the society as toys at the service of quenching sexual lust of the hedonists, but in Islam’s viewpoint a woman is a human being, the caliph of God on earth, and the representative of Almighty God.” He added, “In Islamic Iran, too, which is the reviver of religion in the world, the presence of women in scientific, ethical, social, and political fields, while preservation of their feminine prestige, is observed, as the Supreme Leader has often stressed.” The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran added, “The scandals created by the west regarding women are shameful; the west that has trampled upon the human prestige of women under the slogan of freedom must be ashamed, while in Islam from the kind embrace of a woman scientists and top managers can raise, and the same woman can have a strong presence in the society.”/end
