Iran envoy: Only Muslim unity can free Palestine

Beirut, July 27, IRNA – Iranˈs Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fatahali said that Palestine and other occupied territories could be freed only by Muslim unity and resistance, adding that other alternatives are doomed to failure. Fatahali made the remarks in a ceremony on the occasion of the International Quds Day. He added that the main strong point of the Islamic world is unity among Muslims. The Zionist enemy and its supporters are doing their utmost through hatching plots, and creating seduction and religious disputes to weaken Muslims unity, he noted. Lebanonˈs parliament speaker, prime minister, ministers, MPs, deputy secretary general of the Hezbullah Sheikh Naˈim Qassem, ambassadors from Palestine and Syria in Lebanon; diplomats and representatives from civil society and Palestinian groups based in Lebanon attended in the ceremony. Fatahali said that the aim of the Zionistsˈ conspiracy is to undermine Muslim solidarity and create obstacles in the way of the Resistance to save the Zionist regime. He added that the world Quds Day is an opportunity for Muslim unity to defend legal and historical rights of Palestinian nation and to remove the cancerous tumor of Israel from the region./end
