Iran Envoy Presents Credentials To Mozambican President

Pretoria, May 16, IRNA – Iranˈs non-resident ambassador to Mozambique Mohammad Faraji on Wednesday presented his credentials to Mozambican President Armando Guebuza. During the meeting Faraji conveyed warm greetings of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to President Guebuza. He expressed hope that bilateral relations in such areas as economy, culture and trade will further expand during his tenure. He said that Iranˈs principled strategy is to positively and continuously cooperate with the African countries in a bid to meet mutual interests. He referred to abundant capacities of the African countries, Mozambique in particular, as a base to promote bilateral ties. Faraji expressed Iranˈs readiness to share experience with Mozambique in different fields. He briefed the Mozambican President on Iranˈs stand regarding major international issues, particularly nuclear issue and the Syrian crisis. Meanwhile, the ambassador met and conferred with Mozambican Deputy Foreign Minister on issues of mutual interest and latest regional and international issues earlier in the day. Mozambique is a country in Southeast Africa bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east, Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the northwest, Zimbabwe to the west and Swaziland and South Africa to the southwest.
