Iran Envoy, Sheikh Qablan Meet In Beirut

Beirut, June 22, IRNA – Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi conferred with Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qablan in the Lebanese capital on Friday. During the meeting in Beirut today, the vice president of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council of Lebanon congratulated the Iranian nation on successful holding of the 11th presidential election on June 14. “We are happy with the choice of the Iranian nation and wish success for the Iranian President-elect Hassan Rohani while hoping his plans will result in further flourishing of Iranians,” Sheikh Qablan said. The Iranian ambassador, for his part, said that more than 72 percent turnout of the Iranian nation in the presidential election was unique in the world and it displayed the climax of democracy in Iran./end
