Iran Felicitates Uzbekistan On Diplomatic Ties Anniversary

Tehran, April 23, IRNA – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday congratulated his Uzbek counterpart President Islam Abdug'aniyevich Karimov on the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Tashkent. In his message, President Ahmadinejad reiterated that expansion of bilateral cooperation plays a vital role in national and regional interests. The president then referred to the strategic position of the two countries in the Mideast and Central Asia, stressing that a further boost in all-out cooperation between both nations would be in line with both national and regional interests./end
