Iran FM: Better Ties With France Guarantees Common Interests

Paris, Nov 6, IRNA -- Iran's FM Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a meeting with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius, called for improvement of Iran-France ties. “Improvement of relations between Iran and France on the basis of mutual respect guarantees the two countries’ common interests,” Zarif said. He underlined that Tehran-Paris relations have been in a standstill situation and there has always been the need for revival of such relations by considering the two countries’ needs. “There is a need for return of the two countries’ relations to return to its previous position on the basis of mutual respect, principle of equality and the two countries’ interests,” Zarif said./end
