Iran FM Calls For Patching Up Of Tehran-Riyadh Disputes

Tehran, June 3, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi on Sunday that misunderstanding between Tehran and Riyadh should be solved in a right and appropriate way. Speaking to the outgoing Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Tehran Abbass Mohammad al-Kalabi, Salehi said Iran is serious in promoting ties with Saudi Arabia. He underlined the need for continued exchange of visits between Iranian and Saudi officials to patch up disputes and thanked the Saudi diplomat for his efforts during his tenure to bring bilateral relations closer to each other. Al-Kalabi, for his part, thanked Iran for cooperating with him during his ambassadorial mission and hoped for settlement of disputes between the two countries as soon as possible./end
