Iran FM Due To Brief Lawmakers On Nuclear Talks

Tehran, June 15, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will attend a Majlis committee session Sunday to brief lawmakers on the latest nuclear talks between Iran and the six world nations, known as P5+1. The meeting comes two days before a new round of Iran-P5+1 talks in Vienna aimed at drafting the Comprehensive Agreement on nuclear dispute, what the two sides failed to do last month also in the same venue, Vienna. IRNA parliamentary correspondent said that senior Iranian negotiators will accompany the foreign minister during his parliamentary briefing. Iran held bilateral talks with delegations from the US, Russia and France last week prior to political negotiations due to be held in Vienna on June 16-20. Meanwhile, Iranian negotiators will hold consultations with representatives of the German government in Tehran on Sunday. A German delegation, led by Foreign Ministry Director General for International and Political Affairs and German representative to the P5+1, Hans-Dieter Lucas, arrived in Tehran on Friday. They held talks with Ali-Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Supreme Leader on international affairs and head of the Center for Strategic Research of the Expediency Council later on Friday./end
