Iran FM To Leave For Jordan Tonight

Tehran, May 6, IRNA – Iran's FM Ali-Akbar Salehi, heading a delegation, will pay an official visit to Jordan to hold talks with senior officials of the country and find a political solution to settle the ongoing crisis in Syria. Considering Iran’s rotating presidency over the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the necessity of continuing consultations aimed at settling the ongoing crisis in Syria through a political approach, Salehi will travel to the Jordanian capital, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said. During his two-day stay in Amman, Salehi will confer with senior Jordanian officials on the latest regional and international developments and will pursue a new round of constructive efforts by influential regional countries to settle the Syrian crisis given the outstanding roles of Iran and Jordan in the region./end
