Iran FM, Negotiating Team Members Back From Geneva Talks

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif and other members of the nuclear negotiating team arrived in Tehran from Geneva after three days of intensive negotiations with foreign ministers of Group 5+1. Upon arrival, the negotiating team was welcomed by vice-presidents Mohammad Shariatmadari, Majid Ansari and Shahindokht Molaverdi and Advisor to President Hassan Rouhani on Ethnic Affairs Ali Younesi and several members of parliament. This round of talks was unprecedented in the history of nuclear negotiations as foreign ministers of all the negotiating countries were present. Despite good progress, the two sides failed to reach a deal and agreed to continue talks on November 20 in Geneva. During his stay in Geneva, Zarif held three round of tripartite talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. The Iranian foreign minister also held separate meetings with his counterparts from the negotiating countries./end
