Iran FM spokesman Stresses Need To Boost Media Ties In Islamic World

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA – Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast stressed Thursday the need to promote media relations among Muslim countries to echo the voice of the world’s oppressed nations. “To confront media currents led by the world’s arrogance, we need to strengthen media relations in the Islamic World in order to echo the voice of the oppressed nations without the help of any third party,” Mehamnparast said. He made the remarks in a meeting with participants of Tehran’s 19th International Exhibition of the Press and News Agencies as well as those of the second meeting of the Press and News Agencies Union of the Islamic World. He added that the arrogant powers managed to justify their wrong deeds through media and by preparing the grounds to fulfill their objectives. Mehmanparast stressed the significant role of independent media to support Muslim nations express themselves in the world public opinion. The spokesman also urged Muslim nations to promote bilateral cooperation through international press unions./end
